No-Nonsense Privacy Policy

I simply do not share, with anyone, any personal or business information about you, your inquiries, your projects, your customers or clients without your prior written approval. My marketing efforts do not employ the sharing, renting, buying, or selling of lists of email addresses, postal addresses, telephone or fax numbers.

I take precautions to ensure that your information is maintained in a secure fashion, and have my internal policies, procedures, and computer systems audited by security firms to maintain security integrity.

If at any time I discover that any of your information has been compromised, I will immediately inform you, regardless of whether state or federal law requires me to do so.

To the extent required by law to support criminal investigations, I may have to reveal information about you without your prior permission. So behave!

I am judicious in the choice of web sites to which my site provides links. Those web sites are governed by their privacy policies, not mine, and I have no control over what happens at those sites. If you have any privacy problems with any sites I provided a link to, please let me know.

I strive to never send HTML-formatted email to you, because plain text is much safer. On occasion it may be necessary to forward an html-formatted message to you.

I track the pages you visit (on this web site only) to help me see what works best and what doesn't in terms of a) providing you with the information you need about Everetts Consulting, and b) obtaining and retaining clients.

I endorse the use of more secure web browsers such as Firefox and Opera over less secure browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer. In particular, I make no use of ActiveX controls on this web site.

I currently do not use cookies on this site. Cookies are neither good nor evil in and of themselves, but they can be abused by unscrupulous web site operators, or by networks of advertisers who share access to cookies on your computer. When I implement the use of cookies, I'll tell you what I use them for. Some demonstrations in the Demonstration Center, in particular, will require the use of cookies. Their usage in those demonstrations will be made clear before you run the demo.

I do not make use of web beacons to, for example, track the opening of emails or visits to other web pages. Of course, I can build PHP solutions for you that DO implement web beacons, HTML email, and cookies.

If I make any changes to this privacy policy, I will put a notice on the home page of the web site. Also, if you are a current customer and so desire, I will send you an email notice of the change.
